Food Support, Serbia

The unstable political situation in the Serbia has led to a situation where the cost of food is constantly increasing. Basic food costs have increased by over 50% and employment is currently around 35%.

This programme provides food relief for some of Serbia's most destitute Jews. Families and individuals receive support in the form of bi-monthly food vouchers.

The vouchers can be exchanged for basic nutritional food items at local supermarkets.

This programme aims to ensure that no member of the Serbian Jewish community will go hungry and that food aid will result in no loss of dignity.

Almost 50 vouchers of $45 are distributed a month.
