Disaster response

We are inspired by the Jewish values of ‘Tikkun Olam’ – Healing the World. As such, we recognise the significant impact UK Jewry can have as part of a response by the international community to natural disasters, conflict and global crisis. In a world in which conflict, oppression, poverty and inequality are still rife, the need to respond with compassion and generosity to the suffering of others resonates strongly with the Jewish experience.

We are committed to acting on behalf of Britain’s Jewish community to international disasters and development programmes around the world. We have taken on the work which had been carried out by World Jewish Aid and continue to act in response to international crises as and when they unfortunately arise.
