Computer Network for People with Disabilities

KEY FACTS

The programme will provide 14 people with the opportunity to develop links with the outside world.

An instructor will be hired to spend 1.5 hours with each participant twice a week

A computer network for homebound individuals in Minsk will be established in order to provide 14 people with the opportunity to develop links with the outside world.
This programme aims to change the social status of people with limited opportunities by expanding their social space, working toward their employment and involving them in Hesed’s volunteer network, integrating them into the Jewish community and into the Belarusian society.

This programme aims to change the social status of people with limited opportunities

Practically, the programme will teach the participants how to use a computer and the internet; expand their circle of communication; and create a support group for people with disabilities.

Once computers are delivered and installed the participants will be trained to use the computers - an instructor will be hired to spend 1.5 hours with each participant twice a week.
