OPERATION WINTER SURVIVAL
SEND WARMTH. GIVE HOPE. SAVE LIVES.
Across the former Soviet Union impoverished communities and families face the prospect of a bitter winter that could, literally, be their last. Through Operation Winter Survival, we're determined to offer them a lifeline of warmth, dignity and hope. And to do that, we need your help.
By sending desperately needed new and nearly new goods and making a gift to help ship them overseas, you can reach out to individuals and families suffering unimaginable hardship. Winter temperatures can drop as low as -20Âșc, and when it's this cold, lingering illnesses and hunger rapidly become life-threatening.
People like 85-year-old Rebecca are the first to suffer. Her poor health, unheated flat and basic diet make winter a truly terrifying time for her. Your generosity could provied her with comfort this winter and could be the difference between life and death.
Our 'Gifts in Kind programme' ships donated goods to those in need throughout the year. To ensure that Operation Winter survival goods are dispatched as speedily as possible, we are only collecting winter hats, warm gloves and scarves. Please send your goods and make a donation today. We hope to collect 10,000 items before 14 December.
