Corporate Donors of goods

Your unwanted or redundant stock will make a huge difference to the lives of those living below the poverty line in communities in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Your unwanted or redundant stock can make a huge difference to the lives of those living below the poverty line in communities in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. We are looking for distributors, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and retailers who want to offload last season’s stock and claim tax relief at the same time. We can guarantee that your donated stock will leave the EU at your request, and provide documentation to confirm this.

As well as freeing up expensive storage space, your charitable donation could allow you to reclaim taxes paid on any imported goods. Your accountant will know how to claim relief on stock donated to charity.

The list below reflects requests received from the local communities we support and our experience in the areas we provide assistance.

Operation Winter Survival SOS - Extreme Cold Weather in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union:

We always have a need for warm clothing and ship winterwear all year round so that our communities are able to receive this urgently needed assistance on time. Winters can be very harsh in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union with many people dying or suffering from hypothermia and frostbite this winter as a result of freezing cold temperatures (dropping to as low as minus 35 C in some parts of Ukraine).

Special appeal for duvets to help children like Valentine

Valentine lives with his mother in Ukraine and studies in a local school. His parents are divorced and his father pays child support of about £36 per month but doesn’t maintain a relationship with his son. The family lives on this support payment. His mother is trained as a lawyer but currently can’t find employment. They are currently living in very poor conditions in a first-floor, one bedroom flat. Extreme temperatures make living in the flat unbearable during the winter. A donation made through WJR’s GiK programme provided Valentine with a quilt to keep him warm during the cold winter months.
