IT Training for People with Disabilities

This programme in Kharkov, Ukraine, seeks to provide computer training to people with disabilities in order to advance their employment opportunities.

Disabled people in Ukraine receive little or no support and are often unable to find work due to a low level of education and lacking the skills in demand in today’s economy. This can leave them languishing in poverty and with significant barriers to further education and training, such as high costs, inaccessibility to premises where classes are held and a lack of teachers knowledgeable about teaching people with disability.

This programme in Kharkov, Ukraine, seeks to provide computer training to people with disabilities in order to advance their employment opportunities.

This project involves the establishment of a training centre designed for people with disabilities, where they will be taught IT skills and select the speciality most appropriate taking into account their levels of physical and intellectual ability and disability. The scheme will provide training for 180 individuals.
