Support Group for Families of Terminally Ill, Zimbabwe

Through our partner, SGOFOTI, we provide school fees for 67 children from families affected by HIV/AIDS.

The majority of the children live with their grandparents who are unable to afford school fees. In addition, a children's centre was established in 2008 with WJR's support. This year, we will provide a salary to pay a carer to offer regular activities to the children, giving them the opportunity to play and enjoy their childhood.

A fund for the maintenance of the building is also provided.

Additionally, a vehicle will be provided to Ruth Feigenbaum, who set up the project, to allow her to continue her vital work with both the children and the older people she supports. Without the car she would not be able to make her regular visits to their clubs or search out vital food supplies for them.
