Sewing Machine Projects

WJR is in the process of establishing a number of sewing machine programmes in Belarus and Moldova.

Through such programmes adults will learn vital skills that will allow them to earn money to support their families and to make much needed clothing for children and partners.

A number of the machines will also go to non-Jewish charities working in the same areas.

These programmes will allow adults to learn vital skills that can be used to provide for their families through both hand made clothing and finances.

The intervention will potentially allow them to live without the support of outside assistance.
