WJR wins big at Manchester Bingo Night
On Tuesday 17 June, WJR’s (World Jewish Relief) dedicated Manchester Committee hosted a Bingo night at the Maccabi Centre, raising a remarkable £1,800.
More than 80 people attended and were entertained by the dynamic Rob Legge who played bingo caller for the evening.
Chaired jointly by Julia Harris & Gabrielle Adlestone, the WJR Manchester Committee comprises a group of South Mancunians who have been working for WJR for five years. Together they have raised more than £100,000 from the local community, helping to fund WJR’s vital welfare and community development projects.
Paul Stein, Head of Fundraising and Communications at WJR, commented:
“The bingo night was another great success for the Manchester committee following a run of impressive events. We are extremely grateful for the committee’s ongoing efforts and commitment to WJR; their support is critical.”
