On Thursday 11th October, over one hundred people gathered at the Virgin active Health Club in Mill Hill East for JDate’s supper quiz, in aid of World Jewish Relief (WJR). The event raised an impressive £340 for the charity.
Organised in collaboration with Virgin Active Health Club, who provided the venue, quiz compere and brain food for the contestants, the evening was the brainchild of Danielle Satter, JDate’s UK Events Manager. Danielle commented:
“JDate is proud to be supporting World Jewish Relief and delighted to be able to donate the proceeds of the quiz to such unique and effective charitable programmes. Thanks to everyone who was involved in the evening and supported us!”
The money raised last week will go towards WJR’s core funds, which are used to provide humanitarian relief to needy communities abroad.
Charlotte Casselson, Outreach Co-ordinator for WJR, commented:
“Every event, no matter the size nor the result, is worthwhile. The money raised at the JDate quiz goes surprisingly far – it can provide a deprived child abroad with Barmitzvah lessons or keep a family warm for a month, literally saving their lives.”
