You Made a Hole Lot of Difference!
On Sunday (14-16 May), more than 3000 people took part in WJR's flagship mass participation event The Big Bagel 2 (TBB). Over 100 events took place across the UK in homes, schools, offices and synagogues to raise money for, and awareness of, WJR's vital work.
Bagel themed events ranged from music quizzes to bingo tournaments, sponsored walks and brunches. WJR is still receiving donations and is hoping to exceed last year's total of £70,000, with many more events planned for over the coming weeks.
As a UK-wide event, The Big Bagel also attracted hundreds of participants from the regions, including in Essex, Leeds and Manchester and TBB even spread it's way to Israel! Over 100 pupils from King Solomon High School in Ilford organised a Big Bagel recipe competition and Brodetsky primary School in Leeds arranged an 'own clothes' day and special bagel-themed lunch.
If you haven't held a Big Bagel event, it's not too late. Simply register online below and help us to assist even more people depending upon our help.
