We would be delighted if you would join us for Pomegranate's annual fundraising lunch at which the acclaimed political journalist Lesley Abdela, MBE, will be our guest speaker.
As with all Pomegranate's activities and events, the monies raised from this year's lunch will help desperately vulnerable, elderly Jewish people living in Eastern Europe, where hundreds of thousands of Jews are living below the poverty line in conditions that should be totally unacceptable in the 21st century.
Lesley Abdela is an inspirational woman. An international women's human rights campaigner, she has been an adviser to governments, the UN and other organisations in more than 40 countries. She is co-founder of the all-party 300 Group for women in politics and public life and her many awards include UK Woman Political Journalist of the Year in 2009.
