For families facing desperate hardship and struggling on meagre incomes this winter, choices between buying medicine for a sick child or food for the family have to be made daily. 

WJR's Operation Winter Survival will ease these choices by sending the hats, scarves, gloves, winter coats and clothes that you are donating along with toiletries, blankets, shoes, pharmaceuticals and many more items which instantly help and improve lives. WJR's volunteers will be working hard this winter to power our Gifts in Kind programme. They will sort and pack donated goods in our warehouse in Neasden, London. We then ship containers to communities in desperate need to countries including Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and wherever the need is greatest through the winter months. At the other end, they are distributed under the strict supervision of professional, locally based community workers.
