Knit for Us

You can knit to help keep people from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union warm this winter.
You can knit to help keep people from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union warm this winter by knitting hats, scarves and gloves or blankets to help keep destitute, elderly Jews warm during the desperately cold winter ahead. They will also benefit from knowing that they are not forgotten, that others have cared enough to knit for them - a great comfort to a person living alone and in poverty.

Find out how to get involved by knitting with shuls and communities across the UK on Mitzvah Day, Sunday 20 November.

By knitting we can contribute and connect with our extended family in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. With your help, WJR has sent hundreds of blankets made up of thousands of squares, knitted with love by those in the UK.

Please get knitting and send us your hats, scarves and gloves as well as blankets and other woollies and we will send them to those in need.

Contact Emma at es@wjr.org.uk or 020 8736 1253 for more info and to find out where to drop off your knitted goods.
