Our Aims

WJR's Vision:

A world in which vulnerable Jewish and non-Jewish communities live in a safe environment, free of the burden of poverty and able to support themselves. 

WJR's Mission:

Inspired by Jewish values, our mission is to transform the lives of primarily, but not exclusively, vulnerable Jewish communities, outside the UK and Israel, by reducing poverty and enabling lasting, sustainable change.

At times of major international disaster, WJR also leads the UK Jewish community's emergency response, providing effective and appropriate interventions to those suffering from the effects of catastrophe. Inspired by the Jewish imperative of Tikkun Olam, healing the world, we assist those affected irrespective of their race, religion or ethnicity, helping them to rebuild their shattered lives and livelihoods.
