Henry Grunwald was appointed WJR’s President in June 2009. He has previously been President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and Chair of the Jewish Leadership Council. He was recognised in the 2009 Birthday Honours, being appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). Henry has a successful career as a criminal barrister, specialising in serious crime, and became a QC in 1999.
James Libson was appointed as Chairman on 26th September. He heads law firm Mishcon de Reya’s Private department and previously headed the firm’s Litigation team. He has been involved in WJR for many years, first offering his legal services pro bono in 2006. Since then he has participated in many initiatives and visited projects in Kharkov, Ukraine. He joined the Board in 2010, contributing to the charity’s strategy and governance. He will continue to serve on this Board, now as WJR’s Chair.
Linda Rosenblatt has been involved with WJR for over 20 years and has been Vice- Chairman since 2002. Linda is engaged in many aspects of the organisation's fundraising efforts and is involved in the Dinner, Major Giving, Pomegranate and Connections committees. Linda has travelled extensively to visit communities benefitting from WJR's support including Argentina, Bosnia, Georgia, Moldova, Serbia and Ukraine, and sits on the Allocations committee.
